My Current Bio and Team

As mentioned above, my name is Blake Clark. I’m a full cert (AASI level 3) snowboard instructor with 17 years experience teaching and coaching. However, I currently work full-time as a producer in corporate TV and part-time as an instructor at Canyon’s (now Park City).

My passion is snowboarding and early in my career I was a sponsored competitor qualifying for nationals and competing in five events: half-pipe, slope style, slalom, giant slalom and boarder X.

I graduated from the University of Utah with two BA degrees in economics and film production and had the honor of completing several months of an urban indie filmmaking intensive with Hollywood director Rob Smidt in Montréal Canada in 2012, my final piece was viewed at the Canadian Film Board. Now, I have a family, and built a career in film work. I’ve had the experience working for American Idol, PBS—Utah’s Bucket List Powder Day, producing environmental documentaries for the State of Utah, and worked on two promotional/educational pieces for Canyon’s Resort.

Flowing Freeride is my passion project we've been building for a few years. We intentionally built the Flowing Freeride brand to stand on it’s own so it can grow larger than just one person or service. I act as head training developer; my partner, Teako designed the business model and marketing; and our friend Brady is a science phd turned online strategist. We also have a couple programmers and an assistant. Oh, and my son demo's for the kids. I started him off at 2.5 years and by 4 he was riding blues!

Featured Snowboard Gear and Shop Reviews +

Throughout the season while I'm teaching people ask me what to buy all the time. They want to know what the new snowboard technology is, where I buy my gear, and where to get deals. I get pro-forms through AASI but if I have something that’s broken and I need to teach tomorrow I need to go to a shop or have something on hand. I can’t wait on pro-form or reps.

In each of my snowboard courses online we do a equipment/gear section. But I’m also building out free content on FFR blog, Facebook, and YouTube channel are product reviews and info on what gear I’m using and recommending throughout the season. We’re actively engaged in building an organic social following and traffic to the site. If you have snowboard gear or a shop you want featured we’ll do an excellent job creating quality content and are open to brainstorming with you. Please reach out to me: flowingfreeride@gmail.com
